Lausanne – Basel easy task for a leader?

Last match of the 11th round of Super League will take place between Lausanne and Basel. The meeting will take place Sunday at 17:00 at the Stade Olympique in Pontaise.

Lausanne has accumulated only 4 points after 10 rounds, being in last place, 6 points behind the penultimate ranked Aarau. Coda two met last week in Lausanne winning 3-2 away. Guests winning goal was scored in the last minute of the game, after they returned each time on the scoreboard. They were the only team points obtained by Frenchman Laurent Roussey last 5 games. However, Lausanne scored in each of those matches. In terms of parties at home, although they lost the most, Lausanne scored at least one goal in 10 of 11 previous such events, regardless of race. Rossey is quite optimistic ahead of this match, saying that having little courage in attack and in defense more accurately, his team could even win. We have trouble seeing it, especially as Lausanne can not align best 11 of or because of various injuries.

Basel is determined to conquer the fifth consecutive title. As a result, Swiss band is the leader of the league, that’s right, just one point ranked second, which has a game less. Last weekend, Basel won only a draw against Sion’s 2-2 Murat Yakin’s students although they dominated copiously match. No midweek, Murat Yakin could not enjoy a victory of his students, being beaten Basel, all in front of their supporters, by Schalke, with the score 0-1. But we do not believe that guests will have trouble in Sunday’s match, although the first and last class parties bring surprises more often than one might think. Fabian Schar and Marcelo Diaz, players who have scored 3 goals for Basel, are uncertain in view of Sunday’s game. Basel coach does not expect an easy match on Sunday, taking to stress that a team of Lausanne is heeded, since scored three goals away.

This season, the two teams have met once, on St. Jakob-Park, Basel beat 2-0. Last season, Lausanne managed to snatch a point from two home matches, scoring in both games where Lausanne at the Stade Olympique in Pontaise. Moreover, the hosts scored at least once in seven of the previous eight direct meetings at home.
